The New York State Bar Association’s trusted Lawyer Referral and Information Service has created a new online service for people looking for a lawyer. It is completely confidential and open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Their service is a low pressure way to get help for people who need a educated lawyer in their time of need. All the lawyers have been reviewed and are in good standing with the New York State Bar Association. They have partnered up with, an online resource for the legal industry. They provide marketplace and referral management technology.

The Lawyer Referral and Information Service can connect lawyers to people on a larger scale all over the world, and are actually the largest network to date. If someone wants to use this service here is what happens. That person fills an online questionnaire about their local and what their legal issue is. Next, the State Bar staff will match them with the right attorney in their area. They will then forward the request to the right county bar association in the individuals area. The first 30 minute consultation fee is $35 and the referrals are free. If they like the lawyer, they can hire them. If you do not find them fit, they are under no obligation to work with that attorney any longer and can find another one if needed.

The Lawyer Referral and Information Service (non online version) has been connecting people with lawyers for over 35 and is going strong. They have helped countless people in their time of need and this online service will only expand on that. It has also helped lawyers grow their businesses and reach a lot more people. The New York State Bar Association was founded in 1876 and has over 70,000 members.
