James Dondero currently serves as the president of Highland Capital Management, LP. He also works with the HCM Acquisition Company as its CEO and chairman of the board. Before starting up Highland Capital, he served Protective Life’s GIC subsidiary as its CIO. Dondero earned his Bachelor of Science in accounting and finance while attending the University of Virginia.
