2017 has started out with a number of widely known celebrities who joined the celebrity morgue. One of the biggest of the year so far is Mary Tyler Moore who passed away on January 25th at the age of 80. She had recently undergone several surgeries and had battled diabetes for decades. She was buried in a private funeral service at Oak Lawn Cemetary in Fairfield, Connecticut.
Mary Tyler Moore was known for her tv and movie acting career. Her first big role was on “The Dick Van Dyke Show”. After that show went off the air she struck gold again with “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” which ran from 1970 to 1979. The show was notable for being the first to feature a central character who had never been married and had an independent career. She was also nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for her role in “Ordinary People”.
Bill Paxton was another big celebrity. During his career as an actor and director, he was a large part of a lot of well-received films such as “Twister”, “aliens”, “The Terminator”, and “Appolo 13”. He received 3 Golden Globe nominations and an Emmy nomination. Definitely starred in one of the greatest movies about aliens of all time.
Bill Paxton was 62 when he died on February 25th. He was also buried in a private funeral service that took place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles, California.
